How to replace the air filter in the Smart Fortwo 451?

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015
Part: Air filter

Replacing the air filter in the Smart Fortwo 451 is an extremely simple operation within anyone's reach. In addition to the new air filter, we need a 7mm wrench and a flat-tip screwdriver. First we lift the carpet of the trunk and remove the base that covers the engine compartment. With the 7mm wrench, we loosen the bolt that holds the filter firmly from the manifold and release the two clips that act as locks, plus the third placed in the bottom, helping us with the screwdriver if necessary. We then remove the newly unlocked cover and proceed to replace the filter. The assembly is just as simple, let's make sure that the plastic cover is well inserted, tighten the blocks and the bolt in the manifold clamp.
