How to Replace the Instrument Cluster of the Smart 451?

To replace the instrument cluster of the Smart 451, grasp it along with the covering that surrounds it and unclip the securing clips that hold it anchored to the rest of the dashboard. Once the instrument cluster is freed, disconnect the connectors attached to its rear and remove it completely. At this point, connect a new instrument cluster to the relevant connectors and insert everything back into the dashboard, securing it with the clips. After installing the new instrument cluster, check that it functions correctly.
