In this video, you will see how to replace the cabin filter on a Smart 453. Start by removing the panel located on the passenger side, under the mat. Unscrew the screws to open it (this can be done by hand without tools). Now, on the left, you will find the compartment, as shown at minute 0:20. Open the small door that covers the filter and, using a screwdriver, extract it. Clean the compartment with a cloth. Now, insert the new filter, close the door, and screw the panel back on. This replacement is recommended every 15,000 miles.
