How to reset the oil warning light on the Smart Fortwo

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

If you have just changed the engine oil and its filter on your 2009 Smart Fortwo then you must necessarily reset the warning light manually so as to prevent it from coming on at every start. Everything you need to do is outlined in our new mini guide. First insert the key and turn on the vehicle ignition. Then locate the small button on the left side of the dashboard and hold it down for about ten seconds. At the end of this countdown, release the button and turn off the panel. The oil lamp reset is complete.
