Replacement of the cylinder of the rear jaws of the Smart Fortwo

Model: Smart Smart 453 - Years 2014-2022

In this video tutorial we will see how to remove and replace the rear brake shoe cylinder of the Smart Fortwo. First we lift the car and start by removing the rear wheel; after which we remove the drum, unscrewing the central nut, as shown in the video. At this point we are going to disassemble and remove the jaws, disconnecting the spring and removing the pins; then let's unhook our cylinder from the jaws, replacing it with the new one. Now let's replace the jaws and reassemble the new cylinder, giving the drum a clean up of dirt!
