Disassembly of the fuel pump (float) of the Smart Fortwo

We see in this guide the main instructions that will allow us to disassemble and replace the fuel pump or the tank float of the Smart Fortwo. First we lift the car and start by removing our fuel tank; to do this we unscrew all the screws of the fixing brackets, getting it off the car with the help of a jack. At this point we are going to remove the cover of the fuel pump, then disconnecting the fuel pipe and the electrical connector; unscrew the ring nut of the pump to remove it and replace it with the new one!
