To replace the gear knob on a Smart 452, grip it and press the button located on its side. This will allow you to pull upwards and disengage the knob from the top of the lever. Once the old knob is removed from the gear lever, insert a new one by positioning it at the end and locking it in place. After the new knob is correctly fitted, check that it does not obstruct the normal use of the gear lever and that it is securely attached to its housing.
