Opening the bonnet of a Smart requires a slightly different procedure compared to most other cars. In this video, see how to do it. First, go to the front of your Smart and act on the grille; this part of the car contains the catches that will allow you to open the bonnet.

Go to the right side of the grille; you will find, with care, the first catch. Pull it towards you, ensuring it is fully open.

Once done, go to the left side of the grille and locate the other catch. Repeat the opening procedure.

At this point, you will be able to detach the bonnet.
