How to remove the protective adhesive layer from the panoramic roof of the Smart Fortwo

Model: Smart Smart 452, Roadster - Years 2003-2005
Part: Body

A thin layer of adhesive is applied to the entire surface of the panoramic roof of the 2004 Smart Fortwo, which constantly protects the bodywork from various atmospheric agents, dust and possible impacts. After many years, however, it can show excessive signs of wear and tear and can come off little by little, also causing an ugly aesthetic effect. To be able to remove it completely and perhaps replace it, you simply need a small, fairly thin and delicate spatula. Gently scrape off any remaining adhesive and finally wash the roof to remove any rubber residue.

How to Remove the Front Brake Pads on a Chrysler PT Cruiser

To remove the front brake pads on a Chrysler PT Cruiser, position the car on a column lift and raise it to a comfortable height. Unscrew the pins using a socket wrench or air drill and remove the wheel. Then, use a screwdriver to detach the brake pads. Next, remove the caliper bracket and unscrew the pins on the brake disc (using a Torx screwdriver). Pull the disc towards you to slide it off the hub. Install the new brake disc with all associated pins, secure the caliper bracket to the disc and the pads, then mount the brake caliper, ensuring all pins are tightened properly. Before mounting the wheel, bleed the brake caliper and tighten the pin.
