In this tutorial, you will see how to change the oil in a Smart ForTwo, a very simple operation. Before proceeding, wait for the engine to cool completely to avoid burns.

Start by opening the rear hatch and accessing the engine compartment. Then, place a container underneath, unscrew the drain plug, and let all the oil in the circuit drain out. Next, unscrew the old filter using pliers, fit the new one, tighten the plug, and pour in the required amount of oil through the upper fill hole.
