How to Change the Number Plate Bulb on a Smart 450?

To replace the number plate light on the Smart 450, the first generation model, you need a screwdriver to remove the support screw of the light unit. Once the screw is removed, the light unit can be detached and pulled out along with the bulb holder. Remove the old blown bulb and replace it with a new one of the same type as the original or with an LED, provided it has the same specifications. Turn on the instrument cluster and check that the new bulb works, then reposition the light unit and screw it back in.
