This guide briefly outlines the steps to remove and replace the engine cylinder head of the Smart Fortwo 1.0 petrol. To remove the cylinder head, it is necessary to detach the engine block from the chassis; therefore, unscrew the bolts of the supports and disconnect the engine from the gearbox.

Next, remove the spark plugs by first disconnecting the connectors, and then remove the intake manifold; then, take off the upper cover and unscrew the cylinder head bolts to remove it. Carry out the repair or replacement of the gasket and reassemble everything!
