Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007
Part: Checks and maintenance

In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the air temperature sensor in the Smart ForTwo, a very simple and quick operation. First of all, we wait for the engine to cool down sufficiently, then we open the rear door and remove the bottom panel. Next, we locate the sensor, which is located just below the air filter box, and disconnect the power connector. At this point, we grip the two fixing clips of the sensor, press them, and, pulling outwards, we remove it from the housing. To install the replacement, it will be sufficient to insert it forcefully and reconnect the connector.
