To remove the door panel on a Smart 451, first detach the outer panel of the door: this will allow access to the clips securing the panel from the outside. These must be loosened to detach the lower part of the inner panel; you can now proceed by prying with an object and removing the trim of the handrail, so that the screws underneath can be loosened. After removing these screws, you can proceed to detach the panel to replace it with a new spare part.
