To replace the interior handle on a Smart 450, use a tool to pry off the triangular cover on the inside of the mirror. Once this is removed, you can also detach the outer panel to access the screws securing the handle mechanism. These screws must be loosened so that the interior handle can be removed and disconnected. At this point, connect the new replacement part and reassemble the appropriate door panels.
