How to Dismantle the Outer Door Panel of a Smart

Model: Smart Smart 451 - Years 2007-2015

Start by removing all the bolts around the edges of the door near the lever for adjusting the rearview mirror. Carefully pull this small compartment, being mindful of the cables for adjusting the mirror. To remove the plastic triangle, simply lift a lever that locks the mirror adjustment mechanism. Now, unscrew the remaining bolts to remove the mirror. Once done, free the handle from the bolts using a couple of clips on the inside of the door. By sliding the handle to the left, you can disconnect the connectors from the handle. Now, remove the bolt located where the mirror was previously. Gently pull the door outward, and it's done.
