How to replace the clutch on the Smart ForTwo?

To replace the clutch on the Smart ForTwo, access the engine compartment, which is located directly under the rear hatch. Here, you will need to unscrew the bolts securing the gearbox cover and disconnect the various connectors attached to it. Once the gearbox has been removed, you can locate the clutch situated between it and the flywheel; the old clutch can now be removed from its housing, and the new replacement part installed. After installation, check that everything is functioning correctly.
