To replace the rear wheel bearing on the Smart Fortwo, lift the car using a jack and then loosen the bolts that secure the rear wheel to its housing. This will allow you to remove the wheel, then loosen the screws that secure the corresponding brake drum; now, you can proceed to remove the bearing from its seat at the centre of the driveshaft.

Once the old bearing is removed, insert the new one and then reassemble all the components that were removed.
