How to Replace the Front Headlamp Bulbs on a Smart

Model: Smart Smart 450 - Years 1998-2007

To access the back of the headlamps, where the covers protecting the individual bulbs are located, follow several steps. One of these involves unscrewing the screw found at the centre of the grille under the windscreen. This allows you to remove both the screw that secured the grille and the grille itself. You can then easily reach inside the space and unscrew the bulb that needs replacing, as shown in the video. Now, simply retrace the steps described for reassembling the various components.
