Instructions for Half Shaft Replacement

Model: Subaru Outback BE, BH, MK 2 - Years 1999-2003
Part: Axle shaft

Lift the vehicle on suitable car stands and remove the wheel corresponding to the repair area. Before removing the half shaft, locate the hole on the half shaft itself on the gearbox side and use a punch to extract the retaining elastic pin. Then, remove the nut located at the centre of the hub and those securing the hub to the shock absorber to allow the extraction of the half shaft first from the gearbox side and then from the wheel side. Insert a new elastic pin into the appropriate hole of the half shaft, ensuring not to exceed the thickness to allow it to fit onto the splines. Complete the installation by inserting the half shaft with the pin hole correctly aligned, drive in the pin, and tighten the hub securing nut.

How to Replace the Interior Light Bulbs on a Jeep Renegade

Let’s see how to replace the damaged bulbs in the interior light of a Jeep Renegade. Use a screwdriver to pry between the interior light and the headlining panel (without breaking the panel), pull the interior light out from the panel and disconnect the power connector. Replace the damaged bulbs with new ones (same size and voltage). Refit the interior light into its housing (push the clear plastic with your hands until the clips are fully engaged in the side plastic). Test the correct operation of the bulbs in the interior light after installation.
