Let's see how to remove the left external wing mirror of a Volkswagen Polo (driver's side): remove the door panel (if necessary); use a lever to remove the internal trim of the mirror (there are plastic clips) and undo the securing bolts with a socket wrench.

Once the securing bolts are removed: take out the mirror along with the adjustment electrical cables (manual wires) from the car door.

To reassemble: refit the mirror with the bolts, the adjustment cables, and the plastic trim into the door panel. Finally, test the correct operation of the mirror.
