To replace the stator on the Suzuki V-Strom DL1000, loosen the screws securing the cover located on the left side of the bike. Once this cover is removed, you can detach it completely and pull out the underlying stator. This must be disconnected and removed from its housing so that a new replacement part can be inserted; once the stator is correctly installed, reconnect it and cover everything with the cover.
