Replacing the Timing Chain on a Suzuki Swift

Replacing the engine chain on a Suzuki Swift, here’s how. Lift the car on a column lift; remove the front wheel and the right wheel arch liner. Once these operations are completed, loosen the alternator tensioner and slide the belt off its seat. After removing the belt, use a spanner to remove the timing chain cover panel. Remove the chain. Fit a new chain, cover it with the cover. Refit and tension until the alternator belt has the correct tension. Refit the wheel arch liner and the wheel.
