How to Replace the Speedometer Drive on a Suzuki 650

Replacing the speedometer drive on a Suzuki 650 is a somewhat complex operation but can be done independently. The first steps for replacing the drive involve removing the brake and the wheel. To remove the wheel, use a 9 mm spanner for the securing bolt and a 19 mm spanner for the central axle, while a 14 mm spanner will be needed for the brake removal. Once these initial parts are removed, you can proceed to detach the magnetic drive. To do this, simply slide it off the brake spindle, as shown in the video. After removing the faulty drive, insert the new one using a flathead screwdriver to help extract the larger surrounding part. Position the drive part and then the external part, insert it onto the rim, and reattach the wheel.
