How to Adjust the Handbrake on the Suzuki Swift

If pulling the handbrake lever results in a long travel, meaning you feel more than 5 or 6 clicks, then it is certainly necessary to adjust the travel so that it does not rise more than 3 or 4 clicks at most. The adjustment is manual and is performed from inside the cabin using a specific adjustment screw located just behind the handbrake lever itself. You need to remove the plastic cover that covers the centre tunnel by unscrewing the two front screws and those on the sides of the rear part, access the adjustment nut, lower the handbrake lever, and tighten the nut until the lever's travel settles at 3-4 clicks.
