How do you replace the ignition switch of the Sym Orbit?

Model: Sym Orbit 125
Part: Door lock

Video tutorial

To replace the ignition switch of the Sym Orbit, you will need to loosen the screws that secure the inner panel of the front shield of the motorcycle: these screws will be located in the front wheel arch and in the lower part of the inner shield. Once the panel has been detached, you will be able to locate the ignition switch: this will need to be released from the fixing screws and power cables.

In this way, you can reposition the new replacement piece by connecting and securing it with screws; after installation, you can then reposition the panel.

An Affordable Modification to Solve a Problem on the Yamaha MT07

This video shows how to solve a problem affecting the Yamaha MT07 with a very affordable modification. This bike requires a specific movement of the throttle grip to accelerate, which forces the right wrist into an unnatural twist. You can remedy this by fitting the throttle control from the R6, which reduces the rotation from 90° to 45°; the cost is under £25 even when buying the original part directly from the dealership. As shown, the disassembly and reassembly work is extremely simple; just be careful not to let the throttle guide slip, as it has its seat directly in the cover. You can see the difference in hand position after replacing the grip.
