You can replace the front brake pads on the Sym MaxSym 400 by loosening the screws that secure the caliper to its housing, allowing it to be disconnected from the appropriate disc: once the caliper is removed from the corresponding disc, you can slide the pin out of the caliper to free the pads from inside the caliper. At this point, insert the new replacement pads into the caliper: it can then be secured onto the disc to ensure everything functions correctly.

As shown, it is located behind the front storage compartment, positioned under the handlebars. To access it, first open the compartment, then remove the right cover by unscrewing the relevant screws with a cross-head screwdriver.
