This guide will show you the steps to remove and replace the front brake pads on a Sym MaxSym 400i ABS scooter. First, position the scooter on the centre stand and start by unscrewing the two bolts securing the front brake caliper using an Allen key. Once removed, you can take out the two retaining pins that hold the brake pads in place using pointed pliers. At this point, remove the pins and extract the brake pads, replacing them with new ones (of the correct type); then reassemble everything!
