Are the number plate light bulbs blown? Here’s how to remove them on a Toyota Rav 4. Use a plastic lever to remove the transparent lens of the number plate light located on the rear tailgate. Once the light unit is removed, disconnect the bulb from it. Fit the new/LED bulb (same size and voltage) into the lamp holder, then refit the light unit into the tailgate by pressing until the clips lock automatically. After securing the lens, test the new bulbs by turning on the lights.
