Removing the rear view mirror on Toyota Corolla is a fairly simple job which however requires the removal of the entire door panel to gain access to the power connector. First you will need to remove the plastic cover behind the mirror from the inside of the door, this will be fixed by interlocking and it will be enough to pry along the edges to remove it. Once this is done you can proceed with the disassembly of the panel, it will be fixed to the door with three screws and some plastic clips. To access the first two screws it will be necessary to remove the two plastic covers along the armrest, these too will be interlocked and it will be enough to pry along the edges to remove them, one of these includes the control of the window regulators and once removed it will be necessary to disconnect the power connector located underneath it. Once the two covers have been removed, you will have access to the two screws which must be unscrewed and you can then proceed by unscrewing a third screw inside the door handle. After removing all the screws, the panel will remain fixed to the door only by means of the plastic clips along the sides and the bottom of the panel, to release them you will have to pry along the seam between the panel and the door sheet. once all the clips have been released, it will be sufficient to lift the panel upwards to release it from the guide on the upper side of the same. At this point it will be possible to permanently remove the panel from the car and you will finally have access to the power connector of the mirror which can be disconnected, the mirror will also be fixed to the car by means of three easily visible pins on the inside of the same that must be unscrewed. . Once the screws have been removed, the mirror will come off easily and you can then proceed by installing a new one and reassembling everything in the reverse order to that of disassembly.
