How to Replace a Headlight Bulb on a Toyota Yaris

Changing the headlight bulb on a Toyota Yaris is not straightforward, as it requires disassembling quite a bit of bodywork. The headlight is designed in such a way that you cannot change the bulbs without removing part of the car. Start by removing the screws or rivets located under the bonnet to loosen the bumper, then go underneath the headlight, where there is a clip that needs to be removed by pushing it inwards. After that, there are three more screws (shown in the video) to remove in order to detach the bodywork from the chassis. At this point, you can take out the headlight by disconnecting the wires from the electrical system, which is secured with a clip located on a rubber cap that needs to be removed. Underneath, you will finally find the bulb. Replace it, reattach the clip, the rubber cap, the connector, and reposition the wires. Next to it, there is the position light, where you simply pull the metal tabs, disconnect the connector, turn the bulb holder a quarter turn, and the bulb will come out. Now, reassemble the headlight, reattach all screws and the clip to the bodywork, ensuring it is securely in place. The job is complete.
