How do you activate a motorcycle battery? Many batteries that we can buy online are not sold ready to use but need to be activated, and here we see how. First of all, it is essential to do the whole operation with gloves and protective goggles, because you will be handling acid. Remove the tab from the battery body, open the bag with the acid cells, gently remove the cap that will be used to cover the battery later, flip the cells onto the battery and give a sharp blow so that the seals open and the acid starts to flow inside the containers. There is nothing to do, just wait for them to fill up; it takes a little over 10 minutes. After this, we must wait a couple of hours before sealing the containers with the appropriate cap (the one that was on the vials). Close them well by tapping them with a rubber hammer so that they are sealed, and then leave the battery charging overnight. Even if it says it is charged, we must do it anyway: only then can we insert it into our scooter or motorcycle.
