This synchronization is essential to ensure efficient combustion.

The sensor also allows the ECU to regulate the engine's idle speed, ensuring smooth and stable operation at low speeds. It also contributes to diagnosing various engine problems, such as ignition issues or irregularities in operation.

The crankshaft position sensor is therefore an essential component for the proper functioning of an internal combustion engine: without it, the ECU would not be able to optimally manage the combustion processes and regulate the various engine functions.
