In this video, we will look at two simple methods to test the functionality of relays: the first is to use a multimeter set to 200 Ohms. Take the leads and connect them to the positive and negative terminals of the relay. We are only measuring Ohms, so it doesn't matter which leads we connect; what we want to see on the display is a number between 50 and 200. If we don't have a multimeter, a simple way to perform the test is to use a 12-volt battery and our relay, doing the same thing by connecting the ground and the negative. What we are interested in is hearing a "click", which means the switch is doing its job.
