On the relay, there is a positive pin and a negative pin: these pins are numbers 85 and 86. Test these two pins; you should obtain a resistance between 50 and 150 Ohms. Another method is to take your relay and a 12-volt battery, connecting the negative to pin 86 and the positive to pin 85: you should hear the relay clicking as it activates and deactivates.
