The Importance of Choosing the Right 5W30 Oil for Your Car

Using the wrong oil risks premature engine wear: if it does not meet the manufacturer's specifications, the oil quickly loses viscosity. This can also lead to engine damage due to insufficient lubrication or overheating. Always use oil recommended by the manufacturer, checking viscosity and specification. Avoid overly cheap oils and change the oil at most every 12,500 miles. Switching to thicker oils to reduce consumption is a mistake: it damages passages designed for lower viscosity.
