The Car Won't Start but Has a New Battery: Why?

What we see in the video is a common problem. If you hear a "click" but it won't start even with a new battery, the issue is almost always an electrical connection or a faulty starting component. The main suspect is a loose battery terminal, especially if the battery was changed independently. But don't just wiggle them lightly as mentioned in the video: turn everything off, try rotating them by hand, disconnect them with an appropriate spanner, disconnecting the negative terminal first and then the positive, clean the terminals and connectors of any corrosion, then reconnect them tightly: the terminals must not move at all if you try to twist them by hand.
