(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial
Model: (Various brands) Various
In this video, we see how to open and start a BMW with a completely dead remote control: first of all, it is useful to know that these remotes use CR2450 batteries. To open the car, we remove the emergency key from the remote control, with which we will open the driver's door and enter the car. The car alerts us that we need to replace the remote control battery. If we press the start button, the display tells us that the engine does not start because of the remote control. But if we press it a second time, it is the display itself that suggests us to bring the remote control closer to the steering column, and there is a symbol next to it, which is repeated at a specific point on the column. That's where we should place our remote control, and the display informs us that it has recognized the remote control. We can start the engine; we click start again and the car starts.
