How to change the battery in a TPMS sensor

In this video we can see how an action that we have always considered impossible - such as changing the battery in a TPMS sensor - is actually feasible. They are not easy to remove because we have to separate the wheel from the tire using a specific tool. The youtuber shows us the tools we need to perform this operation. The device weighs 43 grams, and it is necessary to know this parameter because it affects the balance of the wheel. We start by removing the valve core, then the nut, the rubber sealing ring, the fixing washer, and with a mini screwdriver we remove the fixing screw on the outer side of the valve stem, which will come off immediately after. We open the cover and with a sharp blade we remove the silicone protection, until we uncover the battery which is held by a metal spring. We lever it up; we will find a second tab also on the bottom side. It is a 2450 battery; we replace it, resolder the upper clamp and seal it with silicone. We close the cover. We put back the fixing screw and all the other accessories we had removed, following the opposite direction. We check the weight, which must be the same: 43 grams and then put it back into the tire with the same tool we used to remove it. Something that seemed impossible to us, we have actually done it!
