Replacing the Diesel Filter Cartridge

Model: Volkswagen Jetta MK 5, A5 - Years 2005-2010

To replace this filter, you will need: a T30 Torx spanner, a 10mm ratchet spanner, and the replacement cartridge with the corresponding seals. Replacing the fuel filter is a simple task that should be done regularly to ensure maximum engine performance. Remove the five securing screws of the filter cover with the Torx spanner. Lift the cover carefully to access the cartridge. The cartridge can be removed by simply pulling it upwards with some force. Replace the cartridge after thoroughly cleaning the inside of the filter and reattach the cover, replacing the rubber seal and correctly positioning the other seals. Fill the filter with diesel and clean up any spilled fuel to avoid fire hazards.
