Replacing the Diesel Fuel Filter

Replacing the fuel filter is a simple task that should be done regularly for optimal performance. For this replacement, you will need: a T30 Torx key, a 10mm ratchet with a 15mm extension, a torque wrench, and the replacement cartridge with the necessary seals. Remove the engine cover and start unscrewing the valve at the centre of the cover, followed by the six securing screws of the filter cover using the Torx key. Lift the cover to access the cartridge. The cartridge can be removed simply by pulling it upwards with some force. Replace the cartridge after thoroughly cleaning the inside of the filter and close the cover, replacing the rubber seal and correctly positioning the other seals. Fill the filter with diesel and clean up any fuel spills to avoid fire hazards.
