In this guide we will see the main instructions useful for disassembling and replacing the alternator of the Volkswagen Passat 1.9 TDI. First of all, we get on board the car and start by disconnecting and removing the alternator belt, unscrewing the alternator bolts with a socket wrench and disconnecting the electrical connector; we then remove the alternator from the engine compartment, as shown in the video. At this point, we carry out the repair or replacement of the alternator with the new one, fixing it correctly; all that's left is to reassemble the alternator belt.
