In this guide we will see the main steps that will allow us to disassemble and replace the thermostat of the Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI. First of all, we open the hood of the car and start draining the coolant; it is possible to disconnect the hose that we find under the car. At this point we remove the battery, disconnecting both terminals, and then remove the air filter box and the intake hose; now disconnect the thermostat pipe and the electrical connector, unscrew the fixing screws to remove it and replace it with the new one.
