In today's video, you will see the instructions that will allow you to remove and replace the thermostat on a second generation Volkswagen Passat with a longitudinal engine. First, lift the vehicle and disconnect the coolant hose; then open the bonnet and unscrew the fixing screws of the thermostat, removing the plastic hose and the thermostat itself. Now replace it with the new one of the correct type, ensuring the gasket is properly fitted; all that’s left is to reassemble the thermostat and add the new coolant!
