Today's main instructions will show us how to disassemble and replace the timing belt of the Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI. First, we open the hood of the car and begin to disassemble and remove the coolant reservoir; we lift the car and remove the crankshaft pulley, disconnecting the V-belt, as shown in the video. Now we remove the timing cover and replace the belt with the new original one; we make sure the engine is properly timed, replacing the water pump kit if necessary.
