How do you reset the central locking system of the Volkswagen Touran?

In order to reset the central locking system of the Volkswagen Touran, you need to turn on the instrument panel by inserting the ignition key into the ignition switch: once this is turned on, you can navigate through the menu that appears on the instrument panel until you select the "Convenience" option. Then you can select the "Central locking" option and then "Automatic": now a screen will appear from which you can select "On" and "Off" in order to activate or deactivate the central locking system of the vehicle, finally turning off the instrument panel.
