How to replace the fuse of the cigarette lighter socket of the VW Golf

When the cigarette lighter socket of the Volkswagen Golf stops working, it means that it is necessary to replace the fuse related to it. The fuse in question is located inside the fuse box behind the left side panel. To open the panel, you will need to insert a flat-tip screwdriver inside it and push outwards. Once the box is open, you can replace the 40 Amp fuse number 42 with a new one of the same amperage. Using a different amperage or placing it in the wrong position can not only affect the functioning of the socket but also cause issues with the control unit.
