In this video we see the purpose of lane-assist, that is, lane-keeping assistance, on a Volkswagen Golf MK7: a radar scans the road's horizontal signage, keeping the vehicle in the center of the lane, and correcting its trajectory if it is detected that the vehicle is getting too close to the center line or the side line. The system also works in the presence of only one line on the road. The driver can always cancel the intervention of the device by steering or activating the turn signal to intentionally leave the lane.
