How do you reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Passat?

Model: Volkswagen Passat 3BG, B5 - Years 1996-2005

It will be possible to completely remove the Service indicator light that is shown on the instrument panel of the Volkswagen Passat by holding down the button located in the bottom right of the panel while it is turned off. By continuing to hold down the button, it will be possible to insert the ignition key into the ignition switch and turn it. This will turn on the instrument panel and at that point, it will be possible to release the button and turn it clockwise: at this point, you will notice that the indicator light has completely disappeared and you can turn off the panel to complete the operation.
