How to disassemble the gearbox of the Volkswagen Transporter

The instructions provided in this guide will show us the main steps on how to disassemble and replace the gearbox of the Volkswagen Transporter. First, we lift the vehicle and start disassembling and removing the left front wheel; then we disconnect the front half-shaft, unscrewing the fixing screws, as shown in the video. At this point, we unscrew all the gearbox screws, using a hydraulic jack to remove it from the vehicle; this way it will be possible to replace the clutch or gearbox elements, finally reassembling the gearbox and the front half-shaft.
